We spent the better part of today relaxing at Las Gatas beach. It’s about a 15 minute hike along the northern shore of La Ropa beach. It’s a really rough path but with running shoes on and a little patience it’s a peaceful walk along the ocean. The local vendors and mariachi band members pack their goods back and forth on this path everyday.
The picture above is from where we were sitting on the beach looking back towards the pier.
Here is an attempt at an over/under shot. They are quite hard to take and the shot above needs improvement. I took about 20 pictures and this is the only one worth keeping. It was fun to try it while Pat was busy searching for treasures with her new underwater metal detector. We were actually surprised at how far the detector penetrated the sand. Pat found an old rusty lock and a few links of chain – better luck next time.
The visibility wasn’t great but I managed to find a colorful sea urchin attached to a cement anchor.
Treats for everyone! Here is some cacahuates for Pam, the sunscreen is for John and Cheryl, the VMWare is for Todd. The taco chips, salsa, beer, sunshine and ocean are for everyone to enjoy!!
Housekeeping Tips for my Blog
Here are a couple tips for everyone interested. I have created a few categories that allows everyone to be selective about the types of new blog entries they get notified of. If you would like to see only certain categories just let me know and I can unsubscribe you from the rest. Here is a list of the categories I have so far:
An example of how you can use this is to browse to this link erlewilliams.com/category/zihuatanejo-2014 I’ve set this link to open in a new window so this page stays open also.
Another useful tip is to scroll to the bottom of the page and in the column labelled Archives you can click on a specific month to see my blogs from that month only. If you have any questions or suggestions about my blog please feel free to share them.
